Rava Kesari / Kesari Bath - Indian Sweet Recipe

Ingredients 

1.  Rava – 1glass 
2.  Sugar – 1glass 
3.  Water – 3 ½ glass 
4.  Ghee – 2 ½ tbsp 
5.  Cashew and Raisins 
6.  Yellow or Orange Food Colour / Turmeric Powder – 1pinch 
7.  Sunflower Oil – 1tsp 
  (Can also add Rose Essence for the flavour)

Instructions 

1.  In a pan roast cashew and raisins with 1tbsp ghee. Keep it aside. In the same pan add 1tbsp ghee and 1glass rava. Roast it in a medium flame. When a roasted smell comes move it into another vessel or plate.
2.  Take another pan for making kesari ,add 3 ½ glass of water and boil it. (For 1glass/Cup of rava - 3 ½ Glasses or Cups of water is used). In that water add Sunflower oil,1tbsp ghee,Yellow or orange food colour. Mix them well.
3.  When the water boils,add the roasted rava and mix it well without leaving any lumps (Rava should only be added when the bubbles are seen while boiling). Now the rava will absorb all the water in the pan. Now close with a lid and cook it for 2-3minutes under a low flame.
4.  After 2-3minutes of cooking add 1glass/Cup sugar and mix it with the rava.(You can adjust the Sugar quantity according to your taste). The sugar will start melting after some time and will get combined with rava. Keep mixing rava and don’t allow to form any lumps.
5.  When the rava becomes thick again add ½ tbsp of ghee , Cardamom and roasted cashews raisins. (Can also add Rose Essence for the flavour). Mix everything well and our delicious Rava Kesari is Ready....
