Avoli Varuthathu/Pomfret Fish Fry/Spicy Kerala Fish Fry



Ingredients 


1.  Pomfret fish – 6nos medium sized cuts 

For Masala Preparation 

2.  Chilli Powder – 1 ½ tbsp 
3.  Turmeric Powder – ½ tsp 
4.  Black Pepper – 1tsp 
5.  Salt – to taste 
6.  Small Onion – 3nos 
7.  Ginger – 1inch piece 
8.  Garlic – 4nos 
9.  Curry Leaves – 1string 
10.  Vinegar – 1 ½ tbsp 
11.  Coconut Oil – For frying 

Instructions 


1.  Clean and wash the fish thoroughly with Vinegar and salt to the water. This helps to remove the bad smell and slipperiness of the fish.

2.  Grind the ingredients for masala preparation to a fine paste

3.  For marination coat the masala paste all over the fish properly.And keep it aside for around 1hour.

4.  Heat the coconut oil in a pan. Add some curry leaves for a nice flavour.

5.  Shallow fry the fish pieces on both sides in medium low flame.

6.  When its cooked remove it from pan one by one and now our tasty and spicy pomfret fish fry is ready!!!!
