Gobi Manchurian Recipe



Gobi manchurian is a indo chinese recipe with the combination of cauliflower and sauses. I have made it in a restaurant style. So i used food colour for its visual beauty. Food colour is not mandatory as it wont increases the taste of our manchurian.

Everyone can prepare without using food colour if you dont want its reddish colour like we usually gets from restaurants. Try to make it at home with my step by step method down  and share your experience via comments down in the comments section .

Total Preparation Time : 40 minutes

Ingredients

Cauliflower – 1 
Big Onion – 1 finely chopped 
Big Onion – 1 cubed 
Green chilly – 8 sliced 
Ginger – 1tbsp finely chopped 
Garlic – 1tbsp finely chopped 
Spring onion – 1 tsp finely chopped 
Soya Sauce – 3-4 tbsp 
Chilli Sauce – 1tsp 
Sugar – 1tsp 
Tomato Ketchup – 3tbsp 
Food colour - pinch 
Vinergar – ½ tsp 
Capsicum – ½ cubed 
Oil – sunflower to fry

For Marination

Maida – 4tbsp 
Cornflower – 3tbsp 
Rice Flour(Ari podi) – ½ tsp 
Soya Sause – 1tbsp 
Salt – to taste 
Pepper Powder – ½ tsp 

Instructions 


1.  Cut small florets and wash thoroughly and soak them in salt and turmeric water for 10min Again wash well and strain for few minutes.


2.   Take a bowl and add maida cornflour rice flour soya sauce salt and pepper powder.


3.  Mix well and add small amount of water ,make it to a thick batter and add a pinch of colour.

4.  Add cauliflower and mix well till all are coated well with the batter.


5.  Keep it for 20mins in fridge.

6.  Heat oil to medium,deep fry the cauliflower until it comes golden brown.

7.  Remove and keep it in a strainer or tissue and keep aside.


8.  In a non-stick pan heat 2tbsp of oil and add ginger,garlic.Saute for 10sec in high flame.


9.  Reduce the flame and add finely chopped onion,finely chopped capcium,spring onion,green chilli. Mix well and sauté till the onions become light brown.

10.  Add soya sauce,chilli sauce,tomato ketchup,vinegar,sugar and 2 cups of hot water.


11.  Mix well and taste the mixture. Add salt or sugar to your taste.

12  Add water mixed with cornflower for more gravy.Now add fried gobi onion cubes and capcium cubes. Mix well so that gobi can soak well.The sauce will get dry within no time.


13.  Switch off the flame . Now Gobi Manchurian is ready to serve.
